New Hampshire firm announces successful completion of the first phase of the $25.95 Million School Renovation and Addition project in Hampton, New Hampshire
SALEM, N.H. – Trident Project Advantage Group, one of the leading owner’s project management firms in New England, confirms the first phase of the Hampton Academy 120,000 SF, $25.95 Million project in Hampton, NH has been successfully achieved. Groundbreaking occurred on July 24, 2017 with demolition of the 1960’s wing to be the first task. The tradition of the Hampton Academy front yard bell being rung was fulfilled for school opening in September 2017. “The excitement of students and staff was palpable,” as expressed by an attendee. Since that time, additions which included a new gym facility have been constructed, the corner stone laid in July 21, 2018, the school bell rung again for the 2018-2019 school year, and students occupied and experienced the first phase of the new construction on October 29, 2018. An Open House held on November 10, 2018 that was well attended to accolades from all.
The 120,000 SF school construction project is being undertaken without closing the school to its students and staff under a multi-phased delivery process. Careful planning for student safety and educational continuity is the hallmark of such projects and the Hampton Academy project team has the experience required. Trident is leading the project team of the architect HL Turner Group of Concord, NH; Bonnette, Page and Stone of Laconia, NH; and several other consultants. The District team members include Superintendent Kathleen Murphy; Assistant Superintendent for Business Nathan Lunney; and Keith Lessard, Director of Facilities. Together, this team has provided options and advice for the District to make informed and timely decisions throughout the project.
“As Superintendent, I found the Trident team to be professional, saw them hold high standards for themselves, and frequently observed in them the values the community of Hampton was looking for in consultants . . . the District has seen cost savings as well as high quality of work under their oversight” stated Superintendent Kathleen Murphy. “Successful projects not only have experienced team members, but clarity of leadership and decision making” states Gino Baroni, Owner and Managing Principal of Trident. “Superintendent Murphy and her District project team of Nathan Lunney and Keith Lessard are active, informed, and ready to make decisions in the best interest of the students, staff, and tax payers of Hampton, NH.”
To be completed in August of 2019, ready for the 2019-2020 academic school year, this facility will be ready to serve for decades to come. “Not only is this new facility designed by HL Turner Group to accent and complement the beautiful original design as well as constructed with quality by Bonnette, Page and Stone, Trident is excited that the exterior presence of beauty is matched by its internal function and academic focus for the success of students and staff” stated Gino Baroni.
