Merrimack College Continues to Enhance the Educational Experience with a New Lecture Hall – Trident Repeats as Their OPM

In its continuing pursuit to evolve into a leading research university, Merrimack College is underway with the construction of its latest academic building, a new Lecture Hall.

In College President Christopher Hopey, Ph.D.’s pursuit of R2 classification, he has entrusted this project to the Project Team that has delivered all major projects at the College’s campus – Merrimack COO Allison Gill and her associates, Trident Project Advisors and Development Group – OPM, VHB Engineers, and ProCon, Inc – Design Build.

The two-floor, 19,205 SF facility is being constructed next to Sullivan Hall, increasing Merrimack’s academic space and provides a more modern active learning environment for the growing student population. It will feature 700 seats in five (5) lecture halls.

“This facility will mark a new chapter in teaching and learning at Merrimack College as we continue our pursuit of R2 classification,” noted Merrimack College President Christopher E. Hopey, Ph.D. “These new lecture halls will bring together more of our community of scholars to learn, think and exchange ideas in novel ways. This building will also provide the College with larger spaces to host outside presenters and speakers, as well as campus events.”

Merrimack continues to invest in innovative spaces that improve student learning outcomes, as well as support program growth and faculty-sponsored research. Trident is honored and pleased to be Merrimack’s Owner’s Project Manager in delivering its strategic Master Plan.
